Mary Ward Week Prayer

Thought of the Day

We pray for children who never get desert,
Who find no bread to steal,
Whose pictures aren’t on anyone’s wall,
Whose monsters are real.

We pray for children, who have to live,
Watching their parents watch them die,
Who’ve never seen a dentist
And cannot cease to cry

We pray for those whose nightmares come
In day time instead of night,
Who never get a chance to live,
Who are forced out of our sight.

Like Mary Ward prayed for women,
And succeeded in her quest,
Let us pray for children,
And make saving them our quest.
